Idea Duck is an award-winning product design company founded by Susan McKinley Ross in 2002. Prior to founding Idea Duck, Susan worked in merchandising and product development at the HearthSong toy catalog for five years. Susan’s husband Christopher Ross joined Idea Duck full time in 2008. He previously worked in the video game industry for 14 years, mostly as a game designer.

Idea Duck designs creative, low-tech products for children. Idea Duck has licensed games, toys, and crafts. We've also consulted on game design and toy merchandising.

Idea Duck's most popular product is the board game Qwirkle. Qwirkle has been honored with a Mensa Select Award, a Parents' Choice Gold Award, a Games Magazine Games 100 Award and a Spiel des Jahres Award among others. Please visit the Qwirkle page to find out more about this game.
